One of the great things about solar is that you can build arrays for a fixed-cost--and lock in your electricity rates for 20 years or more. With the expectation that other forms of energy will rise in price over that time, it's a no-brainer for many companies. With prices of solar panels dropping due to an increase of supply (which follows a period of scarcity), and significant federal incentives for solar installation, there's going to be an increasing move to solar--and with growth comes jobs.
