About Technically Philly

Covering the community of people who use technology in Philadelphia.

Technically Philly launched on Feb. 9, 2009 in response to the Philadelphia region’s maturing Web-based creative economies. We cover the trends, the news and the people that affect and the events that include this growing technology community.

The blog publishes daily with updates, profiles, reviews and listings. We will follow technology-involved social organizations, venues, venture capital companies, start-ups, design firms and media in the broad region.

Technically Philly relies on community and advertiser support. If you would like to advertise on Technically Philly, email advertising@technicallyphilly.com or download our media kit for more information.

Technically Philly was founded by Brian James Kirk, Sean Blanda and Christopher Wink. Contact us here.

Our Mission

From the small group of programmers working on the next big Web application to large businesses that employ hundreds, the Philadelphia technology community is growing. Sometimes, it’s hard to keep track of all of the start-ups, organizations, venture capitalists and businesses that are working to make Philadelphia thrive.

Technically Philly will be there to help you stay on top of all of the news that affects our technology community with a Philadelphia-first mind set, and we will let you know when the next event is happening in your neighborhood. In fact, the three editors of Technically Philly have never even set foot in Silicon Valley.

Support Us

Technically Philly is a large part of our working lives and is not possible without the support of our community and our advertisers.
