Allan Frank was formerly Chief Technology Officer of the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Technology. His final day was scheduled for Feb. 1, 2011.
Frank first joined city government in July 2008 as Nutter’s Chief Information Officer. A year later, in July 2009, Frank was officially made the city’s first Chief Technology Officer, consolidating IT from 33 city agencies.
As a member of Mayor Nutter’s mayoral cabinet, Frank is in charge of technology related policy issues in Philadelphia. Frank brought 35 years of experience in private sector IT and auditing to his position of chief information officer, which he has said was a move of passion due to a greatly reduced salary.
