William Joseph Green IV is a Philadelphia City Councilman who has often shown interest in the city’s technology community. Green often appears at community events and is a supporter of updating the city’s technology infrastructure. Green is from one of Philadelphia’s richest political heritages. He is the son of William J. Green III, a former Philadelphia mayor and U.S. Congressman in the 1960s through the 1980s, and grandson of William J. Green Jr., also a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the 1940s to 1964.
