• Philadelphia Business Journal Editor Bernie Dagenais gives much love to the Philly Startup Leaders, even if he does so by trumpeting a Virginia group of a different incarnation.
• Interesting coverage of the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh by the Inquirer’s Mike Armstrong here, here, here, here and here. The Inqy runs a wire L.A. Times story with an Andy Warhol lede. The Philadelphia Business Journal’s Jeff Blumenthal reports that law firms closed up shop, among others, to avoid security. The CityPaper was on the ground there too, though I’m not yet sure why. The real news out of the summit was that there wasn’t much news, and Pittsburgh seemed emptied and stark because of hyper security.

• Forbes reports that Pittsburgh is the “perfect” city to host a G-20 summit — and that isn’t a joke about the backwaters of the Monagaheal. They’re calling it a “global coming-out party.” We’re way happy for our fellow First Class City in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania but there are lessons that need to be had here.As White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told Forbes, “It’s an area that has seen its share of economic woes in the past but because of foresight and investment is now renewed–giving birth to … industries that are creating the jobs of the future. And I think [Obama] believes it would be a good place to highlight some of that.”

• Daring Fireball’s John Gruber predicted that when Steve Jobs came back onto the scene this week, he’d announce that the iPod Touch would be getting a video component. He was wrong — though the iPod nano did will be — so then Silicon Alley Insider calls him on it, saying “Gruber goofs.”
