Today on our Jobs Board: myYearbook needs all kinds of developers

Technically Philly’s Jobs Board is becoming a go-to resource for employers and job-seekers hoping to connect. In the past week we’ve added a nearly a job a day, making it the perfect time to snatch that new gig at some of the area’s hottest companies.

New on the board this week:

• A yet-to-be-named early-stage startup is looking for a developer. If this ends up being the next Google, you’ll owe us. Just sayin’.
• MyYearbook is looking for five (yes, FIVE) positions including Flash, Mobile and PHP developers. Basically, if you’re good with a computer, they’d like to talk to you. In case you don’t remember, myYearbook is a high school social networking company backed by First Round Capital and is recently profitable.
• CapTech Ventures needs a UI Architect.

Along with giving you the latest tech news, Technically Philly also has a kickin’ Job Board to help local companies and techies make a match.

Here are the three latest job postings:

• Know your way around Salesforce.com? Force.com is looking for a Senior Developer. The company is looking for someone with more than six years experience, so developers looking to make a mid-career move should give the posting a look.
• The Savitz Organization is looking for .Net/SQL developers to help grow its consulting business.
• J-Lab, a journalism research group based out of Washington D.C. is looking for a developer to help work on Expression Engine. [Disclosure: TP co-founder Brian James Kirk is heading up this project]

If you’re a company with an opening post a job here. Over 400 people checked out our Jobs Board last week and its RSS feed has over 40 subscribers. Each job is tweeted out multiple times to our 1500+ Twitter followers and is posted on the board for 30 days.

Every Monday, Technically Philly will list the last three jobs to be posted to our Jobs Board.

Announcing our jobs board, free postings for the next week

Let’s face it: Philly’s got skills.

And don’t think we haven’t noticed. We constantly run across talented marketers, freelance developers and small design firms. At the same time, when we interview CEOs, directors and managers they consistently tell us that they are looking for high-quality local candidates.

Well Philly, let’s all help each other out. We are pleased to announce the Technically Philly Jobs Board, a modest effort to connect members of our talented and capable community while helping us sustainably serve the city. The board has four employment categories, Full-time, part-time, freelance and internship. Full-time postings will be $50 while all other categories will cost $25. For more details check out our FAQ.

But we’re no fools, we know our jobs board is unproven and untested. So that’s why we are offering free jobs and freelance postings for the next week. All postings will remain for 30 days and will be included in our sidebar and will be randomly placed at the end of posts (like this one). Technically Philly has more than 500 subscribers, 1000+ Twitter followers and reaches thousands of techies, science nerds and entrepreneurs, all locally based.

To post a job, head on over to the board and look for that huge button in the upper right sidebar. Postings will be free until Sept. 21st when the above rate will be in effect.

Consider the board in “beta” as we work out some of the kinks. We welcome all feedback about bugs, categories, design, functionality and more. If we discover an abnormal amount of bugs, we will extend the free window.
